Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-03 · Version v3.4

1. Acceptance

By using Virelya, you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

Virelya is an application that lets you create, customize and share a digital business card. The service includes AI image generation (backgrounds, portraits, logos), an optional geolocated directory, messaging (text and voice messages) and calls between users, and team features (create a group, invite members, share a brand template and announcements).

3. Account

You can use Virelya in guest mode (local data only) or create an account (cloud sync). One account per user. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

4. User content

You remain the owner of everything you import (photos, logos, text). By uploading, you grant us a limited and revocable license to host and display them in the app for service operation.

You warrant that you have rights to the content you import. You must not upload illegal, defamatory, or rights-infringing content.

Interactions between users. Messages (text, voice), calls, team announcements and shared items are visible to their recipients. You are solely responsible for what you send. Harassment, spam and hateful or unlawful content are prohibited. A reporting and blocking system is available throughout the app, on every card, post, comment, conversation and generated image. We undertake to review any reported content within 24 hours and, where the report is well-founded, to remove the content concerned and suspend the account of its author. Published content is additionally subject to automatic filtering of prohibited terms at the time it is submitted. Removal is reversible: if you believe one of your items was removed in error, write to support@virelya.app and we will review the decision.

Zero tolerance. Virelya has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Posting objectionable content — hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, harassing, defamatory or unlawful — or behaving abusively towards another user leads to removal of the content and to suspension or permanent termination of the account, without notice. Any content and any profile can be reported from within the app, and any user can be blocked; reports are reviewed within twenty-four hours. By creating an account, you expressly accept this rule.

Teams. A team admin can invite/remove members, post announcements and enforce a brand template applied to members' primary card. By joining a team, you accept that these brand elements are applied to your card while you are a member; you can leave the team at any time. Everyone remains responsible for their own card data.

5. AI generation

AI-generated images (backgrounds, portraits, logos) are produced by third-party models (Google Gemini, OpenAI). Virelya does not guarantee any specific result. Outputs may contain visual artifacts or reflect biases of the underlying models.

6. Virelya Premium subscription

Virelya is free to use. An optional subscription, Virelya Premium, unlocks additional features: extra visual effects and fonts, AI image generation within the monthly quotas shown in the app, custom logo and background import, gradients, and up to five cards.

Prices, all taxes included:

The subscription is offered in France. Prices are those displayed at the time of purchase; any change applies only to future renewals and is notified in advance.

Who charges you, and who your counterparty is. The subscription contract is concluded with the publisher named below. Payment, invoicing and renewal are handled by the store where you subscribed — Apple's App Store or the Google Play Store — under their own terms. Refunds also go through them.

Renewal and cancellation. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least twenty-four hours before it ends. Cancellation is done in your Apple or Google account settings — that is the only place that controls it, and it takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, at no cost. Uninstalling the app does not cancel anything. For the yearly subscription, a reminder is sent before renewal, as required by article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code.

Right of withdrawal. You have fourteen days to withdraw, without having to give a reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). This right ends early only if performance began with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose it (article L221-28). To exercise it, write to support@virelya.app; the refund is processed by the store where the purchase was made.

If the service stops. Should Virelya Premium be discontinued, subscriptions in progress would run to their term and would not be renewed.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that does not comply with these terms, notably in cases of spam, illegal content, or abusive use of AI features.

8. Liability limitation

Towards a consumer, the publisher's liability is neither excluded nor capped: a clause removing or reducing the consumer's right to compensation in the event of the trader's breach is irrebuttably presumed unfair (article R212-1, 6° of the French Consumer Code) and would be deemed unwritten. Statutory guarantees, in particular the conformity guarantee for digital services (articles L224-25-12 and following), apply in full.

Towards a business user, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages. This limit does not apply in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor in the event of personal injury, nor where it would deprive the essential obligation of the contract of its substance (article 1170 of the French Civil Code).

9. Evolution

Terms may evolve. Any substantial change will be notified within the app.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent French courts.

11. Complaints and contact

For any question, write to support@virelya.app.

In the event of a disagreement, first send a written complaint to that same address: this is the prerequisite for any amicable procedure. We acknowledge receipt and reply within thirty days.

12. Consumer mediation

If your written complaint has not been resolved within two months, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator. That right is granted to every consumer by article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, and the publisher must give you the mediator's contact details (article L616-1).

Competent mediator. The publisher is in the process of joining a consumer mediation scheme. The mediator's name, postal address and referral website will be published here as soon as membership is effective. In the meantime, any complaint may be sent to support@virelya.app: the publisher undertakes to reply within thirty days, and this prior recourse does not deprive you of any judicial remedy.

Referring the matter to a mediator is optional and does not deprive you of any judicial remedy.
